Shirodara Treatment

Service Description

Shirodhara begins with an upper lymph channel massage - to open the lymph pathways at the neck and upper chest, clearing the drainage routes before any oil moves, so what the treatment stirs actually has somewhere to flow and drain rather than sitting stagnant. Then, for about 30 minutes, a warm, steady stream of oil flows across your forehead, centered on Sthapani marma, the point between the eyebrows. Classical texts describe this as one of the most significant points in the body, governing Prana Vata: the aspect of Vata dosha that moves the mind, the senses, and the nervous system. The oil isn't generic — it's blended specifically to what your body needs that day, the same principle that shapes every session here. Traditionally the sustained oil-stream treatment eases disorders of the head and an unsettled mind. Classical understanding holds that this steady, rhythmic stimulation is one of the most direct ways to calm an agitated Prana Vata — the pattern behind racing thoughts, poor sleep, and a nervous system that won't stop scanning for the next thing. Best for: an overactive mind, poor sleep, tension headaches, or a nervous system that needs to finally exhale. Duration: 45 min total (ymph opening + ~30 min treatment) Note: if you book multiple sessions within the same week, you save — part of the cost is a one-time oil deposit, not a per-session charge, so repeat sessions that week cost less than a single standalone visit.
